Mangalitsa pork is a heritage breed originating in Hungary that are prized for their marbled fat and incredible taste giving them the reputation as the Kobe or Waygu of pork. These pigs are all about having delicious, marbled fat for great taste and that comes out in this rendered leaf lard. This is the highest quality of lard and is so pure and tasty that many cultures spread it on bread instead of butter. These animals never see the inside of a barn or concrete floors. They spend their entire lives in the sunshine.
